The dates below follow the statutory holiday list and astronomical calendars — including a rarity: Isra Mi'raj falls twice in 2027 (Jan 5 and Dec 26), giving about 18 national holiday days. The cuti bersama (collective leave) days are set only when the SKB joint ministerial decree is signed, usually in Q3 of the preceding year — expected August–October 2026. Nyepi (Mar 9) and Idul Fitri (Mar 10–11) land back-to-back, so another March super break is likely.

Why the 2027 dates are provisional
Indonesia's holiday calendar is finalized each year by the SKB joint decree of the Ministers of Religious Affairs, Manpower and Administrative Reform, coordinated by Kemenko PMK — typically signed in Q3 of the preceding year (the 2026 decree came on 19 September 2025). Until the 2027 SKB lands, expected August–October 2026, the fixed-date holidays here are firm, the Islamic dates (both Isra Mi'raj dates, Idul Fitri, Idul Adha, 1 Muharram, Maulid) are astronomical estimates that moon-sighting can shift by a day, and every cuti bersama day is unknown.
The big question for 2027 is March: Nyepi (Tue Mar 9) runs straight into Idul Fitri (Wed–Thu Mar 10–11). If the government bridges the Monday and Friday — as it did in both 2025 and 2026 — Indonesia gets a 9-day national break, March 6–14. What is Nyepi? Bali's Day of Silence explained
Nyepi (Tuesday, March 9, 2027, Saka 1949) is a national holiday under the SKB decree, but the day itself belongs to Bali: from 6am for 24 hours the island goes silent — Ngurah Rai Airport closes, no traffic moves, lights are dimmed and everyone, tourists included, stays indoors. Arrivals are accepted on Nyepi morning, but departures resume only after 6am the next day; no flights operate in between.
2027 adds an extra twist: Nyepi (Mar 9) runs straight into Idul Fitri (Mar 10–11). If the SKB bridges Mon Mar 8 and Fri Mar 12 as in 2025–2026, March 6–14 becomes a 9-day national break — expect Bali flights, ferries and hotels to sell out. Book around the window carefully and confirm cuti bersama dates once the decree lands.

When is Lebaran (Idul Fitri) 2027 in Indonesia?+
Idul Fitri 1448H is projected for Wednesday–Thursday, March 10–11, 2027, right after Nyepi on Tuesday March 9. The exact date is confirmed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs isbat (moon-sighting) session, and the cuti bersama days around it come with the SKB decree.
Why does Isra Mi'raj happen twice in 2027?+
The Islamic (Hijri) year is about 11 days shorter than the Gregorian year, so Islamic dates drift earlier each year. In 2027, Rajab 27 — the Isra Mi'raj observance — lands at both ends of the calendar: around January 5 (1448H) and again around December 26 (1449H), giving Indonesia an extra national holiday that year.
Will there be a March 2027 super break like in 2025 and 2026?+
Very likely, but not yet official. Nyepi (Tue Mar 9) and Idul Fitri (Wed–Thu Mar 10–11) sit back-to-back midweek; bridging Monday Mar 8 and Friday Mar 12 with cuti bersama — the pattern used in both 2025 and 2026 — would create a 9-day break, March 6–14. The SKB decree will settle it.
