Until the 2027 order is published, the lunar-based festivals (Lunar New Year, Ching Ming, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival and Chong Yeung) and Easter shown here are projected from the astronomical calendar and may shift by a day.
Macau publishes 20 public holidays a year, of which 10 are obligatory (mandatory) holidays guaranteed to every employee by the Labour Relations Law. The remaining public holidays — including Good Friday, Buddha's Birthday and Christmas — are observed by the government and most people but are not the mandatory minimum for private workers.
