Philippines Holidays (2025–2028)
The Philippines has two kinds of national days off in 2026: 12 regular holidays and 8 special (non-working) days. The difference matters for pay — regular holidays are paid even if unworked, while special days follow a "no work, no pay" default.

Regular holidays vs special (non-working) days
The Philippines splits its public holidays into two classes. Regular holidays (12 in 2026) carry full holiday pay even if you do not work — and double pay if you do. Special (non-working) days (8 in 2026) follow a "no work, no pay" rule by default, with a 30% premium for work performed.
Holidays are declared annually by the President through a proclamation. Eid'l Fitr and Eid'l Adha are regular holidays whose exact dates follow the Islamic lunar calendar and are confirmed closer to the time on the recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos.
