EDB holiday blocks for the 2026–27 and 2027–28 school years
The EDB publishes a school calendar for each school year with the long holiday blocks: the Christmas holidays (usually about two weeks in late December), the Lunar New Year holidays (about a week around the festival), the Easter holidays (about a week in late March / early April) and the summer break (roughly mid-July to the end of August). These ranges describe the usual pattern — the exact dates for 2026–27 and 2027–28 could not be confirmed from an official source at the time of writing, so we deliberately list no specific dates here.

Public holidays & the school calendar: planning family time
Lunar New Year (Sat 6 – Tue 9 February) gives four consecutive public holidays, and schools are closed on all of them — a free four-day break inside the school year. The EDB calendar usually adds a longer Lunar New Year holiday around these dates (pending confirmation).
Easter (Fri 26 – Mon 29 March) is a four-day public holiday block with all schools closed. The EDB calendar usually sets a week-long Easter break around it (pending confirmation).
