Poland Public Holidays (2025–2028)

Poland’s calendar is fixed by Article 1 of the 1951 Act on days free from work: fourteen days a year, including Christmas Eve, which became a day off in 2025 (Act of 6 December 2024, in force from 1 February 2025). In 2026, eight of the fourteen fall on a Monday–Friday, two on a Saturday and four on a Sunday. A holiday on a Sunday costs nothing, but one on a Saturday must be made up: under Labour Code Art. 130 § 2 the employer owes another day off within the settlement period. In 2026 that means Assumption Day (August 15) and Second Day of Christmas (December 26). The longest automatic break is Christmas: 4 days, December 24–27, with no leave needed.
