Singapore Long Weekends 2027
The Ministry of Manpower gazetted the 2027 public holidays on 18 June 2026: 11 holidays, five of which fall on a Friday, Sunday or Monday and create three-day long weekends without annual leave. Two holidays land on a Friday (New Year’s Day, Good Friday), two on a Monday (Hari Raya Haji, National Day), and Chinese New Year’s Sunday second day rolls over to Monday Feb 8.

Hari Raya Puasa

Vesak Day
Take annual leave on Friday to bridge Vesak Day into the weekend.
Deepavali
Take annual leave on Friday to bridge Deepavali into the weekend.
Five long weekends — and how to stretch them
2027 has one fewer long weekend than 2026 (six). The best leverage points: take Thursday–Friday Mar 11–12 after Hari Raya Puasa (Wed Mar 10) for a 5-day run, or bridge Vesak Day (Thu May 20) with a Friday leave day for 4 days — just three days after the Hari Raya Haji long weekend ends.
Three holidays fall on a Saturday in 2027 — Chinese New Year day 1 (Feb 6), Labour Day (May 1) and Christmas (Dec 25) — and Saturday holidays get no in-lieu day in Singapore, so plan around the five confirmed windows above.

How can I stretch the 2027 long weekends with annual leave?
Take Mar 11–12 (Thu–Fri) after Hari Raya Puasa for a 5-day break (Mar 10–14); take Friday May 21 after Vesak Day for 4 days (May 20–23); or take May 18–21 (4 leave days) to bridge Hari Raya Haji into Vesak Day for a 9-day run (May 15–23).
