The five-day Easter break and the 2026 Easter Monday change
In 2026 Good Friday (Apr 3), the day after Good Friday (Apr 4) and Easter Monday (Apr 6) line up with the weekend for a five-day break (Apr 3–7). From 2026, Easter Monday is a statutory holiday for the first time, so employees on the statutory-holiday calendar — not only general-holiday observers — get the day off too.
