What to expect for the 2027 holiday block
Since 2025, New Year’s Eve is included in the statutory Spring Festival holiday, and the break has run eight days or more with weekend make-up workdays around it. With New Year’s Day on a Saturday, the 2027 block is likely to start on or before Friday February 5 and run into the following week — but treat any dates beyond Feb 6 as provisional until the State Council notice lands.
